Broadburst Launches Mobile Media Zones at Gateway Newstands

Toronto, ON - Broadburst Technologies Inc., a North American mobile media company, is pleased to announce that it has signed a network partnership agreement with Richmond Hill-based Gateway Newstands. In the first phase of the partnership Broadburst will expand Gateway’s service offering at 40 of its Greater Toronto retail locations with the introduction of interactive mobile media zones. The mobile media zones will be installed at Gateway outlets in and along the Toronto transit system and throughout the PATH, the city’s 27-kilometre underground walkway. The Broadburst/Gateway network will act as a gateway for commuters to connect free of charge using their mobile phones to information about the services and offers in the world around them.

Broadburst Joins With Mirvish Theatres to Bring Bluetooth Marketing to Toronto’s Entertainment District

Toronto, ON - Broadburst Technologies Inc., a North American mobile media company, announced today that it has joined with Mirvish Theatres to bring Bluetooth® proximity marketing to Toronto’s entertainment district. The partnership between the two companies has lead to the installation of Broadburst’s mobile media access servers in two Mirvish operated theatres in Toronto: the Royal Alexandra and the Canon Theatre.
Located in downtown Toronto on King St. West, the Royal Alexandra is in the heart of Toronto's "Entertainment District", an area including the city's finest hotels and restaurants and such major attractions as Roy Thomson Hall, the CN Tower, SkyDome and the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The Canon Theatre -- a beautifully restored 1920s vaudeville and motion picture palace -- is located on Yonge Street, just below Dundas, right across the street from the Eaton Centre.

Broadburst Mobile Media Zone Launches at Canada's Second Largest Shopping Centre

Burnaby, BC - Broadburst Technologies Inc., a North American mobile media company, today announced the launch the Company's Bluetooth® Mobile Media Zone at Metropolis at Metrotown, Canada's second largest shopping centre located in Burnaby, BC.
The Bluetooth mobile media zone provides mall tenants, advertisers and marketers the ability to reach customers directly through their mobile phones while they are in the Shopping Centre's 1000-seat food court. The mall's Bluetooth access point is being specifically tailored to the shopping public at Metropolis in cooperation with Ivanhoe Cambridge, a Canadian-based global shopping centre owner and operator.
"Visitors to Metropolis at Metrotown can access the Bluetooth mobile media zone by activating their phone's Bluetooth and setting it to discoverable when they are in mall's main food court," said Broadburst President Bill Brooks. "This gives them access to a wide range of mall-specifc services, information and offers only available to them while they are in the mall."
"The new Bluetooth proximity marketing system gives companies the ability to create campaigns that offer customers a unique and interactive mobile experience specific to Metropolis at Metrotown while providing detailed statistics to measure the effectiveness of those campaigns.
